Cora Belle Eiland, 87, of 107 Pine Street in Goshen died Friday, March 24 at Crenshaw Baptist Hospital.

Her funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 25 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. Travis Hitt and Duran Sherrer presiding. Burial will follow at Darien Cemetery.

Survivors include daughter, Erma Lois Davenport of Goshen; sister, Cletha Byrd of Luverne; grandsons and spouses, Tim and Janna Davenport of Troy, Lee and Wendy Davenport of Houston Texas; granddaughters and spouses, Louise and Ray Eiland of Luverne, Debra and David Pippin of Luverne; great-grandchildren, Sam Copeland of Goshen, Capurina Sanders of Jack, Beth Brooks of Luverne, Mathew Pippin of Luverne, Shane Davenport of Troy, Shanna Davenport of Troy, Alyssa and Tommie Davenport of Houston, Texas; great-great-grandchildren, Wayne and Clint Copeland of Goshen, Cassidy Brooks of Luverne; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tony Brooks, Tommy Ray Byrd, Wayne Byrd, Tim Davenport, Tommy Deveridge, and David Pippin.

She was preceded in death by husband, Horace Eiland.

Peggy Lois Horn Faulk

Peggy Lois Horn Faulk, 56, died Monday, March 13, 2000.

Her funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 at Turners Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Webber presiding. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery.

Survivors include husband, Jack D. Faulk of Glenwood; daughter, Lois Marie Faulk of Glenwood; sisters, Laura Frances Stokes of Rutledge, Mary Grace Baggett of Brantley; brother, James (Dan) Horn of Goshen; several half brothers and sisters; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son, James Daniel "Dick" Faulk, parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Horn; brothers, James Edward Horn and Aubrey Lewis Horn.

Myrtle Waters

Myrtle Waters, 95, of Rt. 3 Box 236 died, Friday, March 17, 2000 at her residence.

Her funeral was held at noon, Saturday, March 25 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, located at 409 East Stough Street in Dothan, with the Rev. Loyd Dillard presiding. Burial followed at New Moranda Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, Nelson (Lillian) Deason of Trenton, N.J.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kittie and Moses Batie, Rosa and Jimmie Pless of Troy, Lola and Willie Felton of Brundidge, Jennie and Joseph Wilder of Orlando, Fla.; brother-in-law, Nazanee Waters of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie and Doris Lee; Oscar Lee of Troy; John Lee of Orlando, Fla., Rhonda Williams of Panama City, Fla.; three grandsons; four granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Floralbearers will be friends of the family.

She was born on Nov. 22, 1904 in Georgia to Albert and Mattie Lee Waters. She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 409 East Stough Street in Dothan.
