The No. 2 ranked Charles Henderson Lady Trojans softball team played some great defense and behind a two-hit performance by pitcher Betsy White cruised to a 4-0 shutout of Alabama Christian.

The Lady Trojans got a 3-for-3 night out of Kelly Miller and a 2-for-3 showing from White with a double and a two-run homer to score one run in the first, two in the sixth and another in the seventh.

Alabama Christian sat down in order in every inning except the second and the CHHS defense faced only one more batter than the minimum of 21. White (12-1) finished with nine strikeouts.

CHHS got their first run on White’s RBI double in the first, then scored two more in the sixth off the home run, taking advantage of a Miller walk.

The Lady Trojans are now 14-3 overall and will now take some time off until they face Prattville on Tuesday, April 4 in Troy.
