Robert Louis (Sonny) Key, 87, of Westside Terrace in Dothan died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at Westside Terrace.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 11 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. Donald Clark and Wayne Locklar presiding. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Tommy Frith of Dothan; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sherry Key of Troy; grandchildren and spouses, Kelli Key and Terry Anderson of Dothan, Michael William and Renae Key of Wetumpka, Warren Martin and Joy Dasinger of Echo, Robert Lloyd Dasinger of Echo, Priscilla Page Frith of Dothan; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Key, Warren Dasinger, Rob Dasinger, Eddie Taylor, Terry Anderson, and Jeff Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Knowell, J. T. Turner, and Glen Weed.

He was preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Elmer Key.

Irma Jean Sasser

Irma Jean Sasser, 68, of Ariton, died Friday, March 10, 2000 at Dale Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2000 at Evergreen Baptist Church with the Revs. Joey Pettus and Kenneth Earles presiding. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Baptist Church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include two sones and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Norma Sasser of Ariton, Byron and Faye Sasser of Ariton; three grandchildren, Savannah Phillips of Troy, Patrick Sasser of Gulfport, Miss., Christy Ledford of Troy; a sister and brother-in-law, Minnie Laura and James Phillips of Clio; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Sasser, a son, Hilton Sasser, and a infant daughter, Lashon Sasser.

Sasser was the daughter of Robert and Mauldine Baker. She was a life-long resident of Barbour County. She retired from Van Heusen of Clayton and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
