Charles H. Barnes, 65, of Troy, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan from complications stemming from a recent heart attack.

His funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Dr. Ed Walter and the Rev. Ken May presiding.

A visitation service will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23 at Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock, Ark. The family will hold a graveside service Monday, Jan. 24, at Mt. Holly Cemetery in Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife Ernareeth "Reese" Adkins Barnes of Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, C. Lowry Barnes, M.D. and Tanya Phillips Barnes of Little Rock; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Barnes Watkins and Patrick Watkins of Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren, Kendall Nicole Watkins of Woodstock, Ga., Emily Christine Barnes, Chase Lowry Barnes and Sally Grace Barnes, all of Little Rock; a brother, Sam M. Barnes; and three sisters, Harriet Hanson, Kitty Orme and Judy Butler.

Honorary pallbearers are Joey Meredith, Butch Helms, Ken Hendricks, Boy Motes, Steve Curtis, Herbie Haisten, Brad Richardson, Doug Mims, and Charles Pickett.

Sara Bearden Bridges

Sara Bearden Bridges, 75, of Troy, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000 at Green Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Steve Rascoe presiding. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy is handling arrangements.

Survivors include one daughter, Kay Penn of Troy; one son, Van Powell of Gadsden, Ala.; one brother, Allen Bearden of San Jose, Calif.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today from 1 to 1:45 p.m.

Quennie T. Ivey

Quennie T. Ivey, 87, of Elba Highway in Troy, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000 at Pike Manor Health Care Center.

Her funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Mack Lowery presiding. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy.

Survivors include, step-daughter, Elizabeth Ivey McLeod of Montgomery; niece and nephew, Bobby and Linda Turner of Troy; nephew, Bill Beck of Troy; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, S. T. Ivey.

In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to Calvary Baptist Church.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 22 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Angie Lucille Rich

Angie Lucille Rich, 92, of Tuscaloosa died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000 in Tuscaloosa.

Her funeral will be graveside at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25 at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy is handling arrangements.

Survivors include sisters, Margaret Nichols of West Palm Beach, Fla; Eva McLelland of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was formerly of Pike County.

Visitation will be held from noon to 12:45 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
