Robert W. "Bobby" Caylor, 77, of Jack, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 1999 at V. A. Medical Center in Montgomery.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Bullock County with the Rev. Stan Pritchett presiding. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Skeen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law: Dorothy and Steve Roberts of Troy; Pat and Andy Senn of Jack; son, Robert W. Caylor Jr., of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Senn, Erik Senn, Steve Roberts Jr., Derrick Roberts, Atlas Green, and Matt Thorne.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service.
Mary Fleming Trotter
Mary Fleming Trotter, 93, of 8095 South Brundidge St., Troy, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center.
Her funeral was graveside at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 3, at Green Hills Memorial Park on Hwy. 29 with the Rev. Ken May presiding.
Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Loretta Fleming of Banks; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Thomas Jackson "Jack" Kendrick
Thomas Jackson "Jack" Kendrick, 71, of Troy, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999 at V. A. Medical Center in Montgomery.
His funeral was graveside at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 3 at Friendship Cemetery near Elba with the Rev. Bernard Strickland presiding. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy handled arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Nell Kendrick of Troy; children, Rhonda Merrill of Birmingham; Marsha Hogan of Cleveland, Ga.; Yolanda Roland of Lyles, Tenn.; Dawn Conrad of Gainesville, Ga.; four step-children, Wayne and Glenn Gatlin of Jack; Queenell Fox of Tallahassee, Fla.; Dedra Carnley of Jack; sister, Gladys Holandhead of Ino; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Jiviben Lakhabhai Patel
Jiviben Lakhabhai Patel, 89, of Troy, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000 at her residence.
Her funeral was at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 3, 2000 at the Skeen Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ranchhodbhai Lakha and Savitaben Ranchhodbhai Lakha of Troy; daughters Kashiben Chhotubhai Patel of India; Jasuben Hiralal Patel of Tracy, Calif.; Maniben Maganlal Patel of Bell Garden, Calif.; 15 grandchildren including Nakunj Ranchhodbhai Lakha of Troy; two brothers; one sister; and 22 great-grandchildren.
A prayer service was held at 6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2.
Taneka Lanette Glee
Taneka Lanette Glee, 17, of Rt. 9 of Troy, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999 at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Her funeral was held at 10 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 2 at Jerusalem Temple at Jerusalem Campground in Brundidge with the Revs. Cynthia Smith and Ernest Lindsey presiding. Burial followed at Gethsemane Gardens. George F. Grubbs Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Survivors include parents, Ulysses Glee of West Palm Beach and Hattie Carey Glee of Jerusalem Campground; sisters, Misty Benson and Renesha Carey of Jerusalem Campground; brother, Antwuan of Jerusalem Campground; step-brother, Ulysses Glee Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; grandfather, Nathaniel Carey (Lena Mae) of Tunica, Miss.; best friend, Nikki Boyd of Dothan; aunts, Mattie Bright, Sally Gathering, Everlean Moore, Bertha Davis, Brenda Carey, Beatrice Carey; great-aunt, Rosie Mae Johnson; uncles, Willie Carey, Nathaniel Carey, Arthur Thomas, Eddie Carey, Robert Carey; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends as well as Christian mothers, brothers, and sisters.
She was born on July 30, 1982 in West Palm Beach Fla. to Ulysses and Hattie Carey Glee. She was an eleventh grade student at Pike County High School. She was the recipient of the 1999 Christian Achievement Award and Good Manners Award in Jerusalem Campground. She was first place winner in 50 yards and 100 yards event in the 1996 Special Olympics at Troy State University.
She was a member of the Junior Mother’s Board of S. D. James Evangelistic Association, Inc. She was a member of the International Youth Dept. Mass Choir.
