Vernon Ray Massey, 67, of Brundidge died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 at Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge with the Rev. Kenneth Earles officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include his wife Willie Mae Massey of Brundidge; five daughters, Shirley Ruth Sikes of Brundidge, Mary Diaz of Lawrence Mich., Carol Ann Barnes of Lake Wells, Fla., Marie Sweat of Waycross, Ga., Donna Fry of Brundidge; five sons, Allen Leroy Massey Sr. of Camel, Mo., Junior Ray Massey of Brundidge, Oscar Dale Massey of South Haven, Mich., Roy Thomas Massey of Brundidge; Vernon Wesley Massey of Auburndale, Fla., 82 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Ann Wilson of Oregon, Chris Massey of Oregon; a brother, Leroy Massey Jr. of Brownsville, Ore.; and a half brother, O.L. Glison of Bragg City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Edward Massey and two brothers.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.
