Mrs. Talbot Shelton Huff Sr.

Mrs. Talbot Shelton Huff Sr., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999 in Austin, Texas.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 at Salem Baptist Church in Brundidge with the Rev. Cliff Allred officiating. Burial followed at Brundidge City Cemetery will Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include three children, Millicent Huff of Austin, Texas; Mrs. Ernesto G. Caserta (Jane Lou Huff) of Durham, N.C.; Talbot S. Huff Jr. of Vienna and Muddleston, Va.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Jeff Claassen (Charlotte Huff) of Fort Worth, Texas; Vincent Talbot Caserta of Durham, N.C.; Mrs. John Morris IV (Portia Jane Huff) of Nashville, Tenn.; John Ernesto Caserta, who is traveling abroad; a sister Mrs. William Clifford Hearn (Eva Nell Seay), of Talladega.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 1, 1987. She was born Mildred Seay in Brundidge on June 5, 1909. She attended Alabama College for Women before marriage on May 2, 1930. After moving to Austin in 1945, she completed work on her undergraduate degree and earned a Master of Arts in English at The University of Texas. She was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church.

Harper Smart

Harper Smart, 90, of Elba, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999 at Elba General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 1999 at Wise Mill Assembly of God Church in Coffee County with the Revs. Ray Stinson and Zelon Smith officiating. Burial followed in Zion Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include his sister, Louise Daugherty of Elba; brother Ted Smart of Elba; several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Wise Mill Assembly of God Church.

Robbie Lee Dorrill

Robbie Lee Dorrill, 97, of Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Montgomery died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999.

Funeral services were held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy, on at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26 with Dr. Charles W. Wynn officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery in Banks.

Survivors include son, John H. Dorrill Jr. (Carol) of Brundidge; grandchildren, John H. Dorrill, III (Sonjua) of Brundidge; Lee A. Dorrill (Lynn) of Birmingham; Rachel Betrez (Mark) of Ecletic; great-grandchildren, Haylee Dorrill; Chloe Dorrill; Cameron Betrez; sister, Sarah Poole of Troy.

Memorial contributions maybe made to Bethel Baptist Church.

Henry Jack Barrow

Henry Jack Barrow, 66, of 325 Plum St. in Troy, died Nov. 24, 1999 at his home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29 at the Church of God and Jesus Only with Bishop Gregory Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.

Survivors inlude his wife, Pastor Lillie M. Barrow; seven children, Joe E. Barrow (Carolyn); Roy L. Barrow; Johnny R. Barrow (Christine); Willie M. Barrow; Janet B. Williams; Denese B. Flowers (Gene); Carnell Barrow (Calressa); brother, Mose Barrow (Jessie); sister, Ethel Shipman; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Floralbearers will be friends of the family.

Barrow was born on Jan. 9, 1933 in Pike County. His parents were Moses and Florence Baxter Barrow. He was retired and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Church of God and Jesus Only.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 28 from 2:30 until 6 p.m. The body will lie-in-state from 12-1 p.m. Nov. 29, 1999.
