John D. Alcorn, 55, of Montgomery, formerly of Bellville, Ill., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999 in a Montgomery hospital.

Following cremation, a memorial mass was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bellville. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy is handling local arrangements.

Blanche Boutwell, 96, a resident of Elba Highway in Troy, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999.

Funeral services will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Clifford Mathews and Dr. Edwin R. Walter officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and George Reeves of Troy; and Ruby and Huey Andress of Troy; three sons and daughters-in-law, James L. and Evelyn Boutwell Jr. of Panama City, Fla.; Ray and Dorothy Boutwell of Phenix City; and Jerry and Sue Ann Boutwell of Goshen; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Morgan McVay of Troy; seven grandchildren, Tara Irvin, Dawn Scarbrough, Dimple Gilbert, Lisa Ruiz, Mike Boutwell, Tom Boutwell, and Jeff Boutwell; and nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Tom Boutwell, Mike Boutwell, Jeff Boutwell, Mathew Boutwell, Jeffrey Boutwell, Benny Scarbrough, and Pat Gilbert.

She was preceded in death by husband, James L. Boutwell.

Grace Carter

Grace Carter, 84, of Luverne, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999.

Graveside services will be held at Campground Cemetery on Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999 at 2 p.m.

Survivors include four sisters, Fleeta Henry of Sevierville, Tenn.; Jewell Owens of Montgomery; Fannie Kate Holliday of Auburndale, Fla.; and Lucille Kennedy of Luverne; two brothers Carroll Carter of Melburn, Fla.; Murray Carter of Glenwood; nephew Ben Carter of Montgomery; and several other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, Nov. 12.

Robert A. Hueston

Robert A. Hueston, 42, of Beatrice, Neb., died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., at Fox Funeral Home in Beatrice, Neb. with Pastor Stephen Pera officiating. Burial followed in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Beatrice.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hueston; stepdaughter; Jethica Hinton of Beatrice; children: Caleb, Aaron and Sarah Hueston of Coal Township, Pa; parents: William and Elsie Sanders Hueston of Henderson; brother: Frank Hueston of Troy; sister: Marian Johnson and husband Ken of Canyon Lake, Texas; parents-in-law: Ervin and Leona Zimmerman of Holmesville, Neb. and nieces and nephews.

Hueston was born on November 7, 1956 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was a member of FOE Eagles 531 of Beatrice. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

n lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family with Fox Funeral Home, Beatrice, Neb., handling arrangements.

John Melvin Starrak

John Melvin Starrak, 84, of Ozark, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Ozark Nursing Facility.

At Starrak’s request, he was cremated and no services were held.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche Starrak of Qzark; two sons, John M. Starrak Jr. of Edgefield, S.C., Irvin B. Starrak of Ozark; two sisters, Margaret Schlinder, Muriel (Lou) Morgan, Both of Sarasota, Fla.; granddaughters, Michelle Stephens, Sandy DuShane and Lessie Starrak. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy is handling local arrangements.

George Williams, Jr.

George Williams, Jr., 60, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999 at Ft. Walton Beach Health Care Center.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. at Marianna A.M.E. Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Cox Jr. will be officiating with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his mother Mrs. Louise Cannon of Troy; three daughters, Patricia Florence (Charles) Gloyraine Smith of Union Springs; and KaWanda Stewart of Caryville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; Mario Williams; La Wanda Stewart, Thomas Peterson Jr., Drovoinni Works, John Works Jr., PáLaci Works and Ja Kevia Works; and two great-grandchildren, Maro Williams Jr. and Ivanisha Williams.

Williams is the son of Mrs. Louise Cannon and Mr. George Williams Sr. He was born in Barbour County on Sept. 14, 1939.
