Ethel H. Fuller

Ethel H. Fuller of Troy died Monday, October 11, 1999 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 1999, at Green Hills Memorial Park with Dr. Ed Walter officiating and Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing.

She was a retired teacher having taught in the public school system for many years. She was a member of several educational organizations and a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Fuller.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jim Crawley, Jimmy Renfroe, Tommy Peacock and Averyt Walker, former students.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Troy.

Visitation was held between 12:50 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 1999, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Ralph Steed

Ralph Steed, 84, of Brundidge died Monday, October 11, 1999 at Ozark Nursing Facility.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 1999, from the Richland Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in the Richland Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Pearl Steed of Brundidge; two daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Paramore of Ozark; Rita and Rex Wesley of Banks; son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Dolisca Steed of Brundidge; sister and brother-in-law, Martha Jean and Lewis Hightower of Montgomery; five grandchildren, Jeff Paramore, Darren Paramore, Angie Wesley Barron, Wendy Steed and Clifton Steed; and three great-grandchildren, Wesley Barron, Nason Paramore and Hunter Steed.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Steed, Rex Thrash, Danny Carter, Milton Abercrombie, Robert Bullock, and Ravon Thrash.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pid Steed and Earl Stinson.

Visitation was held from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 1999, from Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, October 13, 1999.

Elise Thompson Wood

Elise Thompson Wood, 86, of Troy died Monday, October 11, 1999, at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 1999, at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lamar Wood, and sister, Bernice Smith.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Benny Beard of Troy; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jackie Wood of Edmond, Oklahoma; Richard Michael Wood of Montgomery; seven grandchildren, Dena Fancher of Calif.; Tamera Wood of Edmond, Okla.; Carmen Cox of Memphis, Tenn.; Stephanie Wilson of Memphis, Tenn.; Stacey Beard of Troy; Michael Wood of Macon, Ga.; Dionne Terry of Montgomery; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bob Booth, Jimmy Jordan, Tom Crawley, Hugh Smith, Jr., Wallis Jeter, Sidney Starling, and Kenny Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of the Trust Department of Troy Bank and Trust and Alley Jeffcoat.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation was held between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 1999, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
