Aubrey L. Peacock
Aubrey L. Peacock, 57, of Crestview, Florida, formerly of Troy, Alabama, died Wednesday, September 1, 1999, at the home of his daughter following a long illness. He grew up in Marianna, Florida where he was born February 7, 1942.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, September 3, 1999, at Whitehurst Funeral Home with the Rev. George Skipper officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, Florida, with Whitehurst Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Aubrey became a Florida Highway Patrol State Trooper in 1968 and was stationed in Okaloosa County, where he lived in Niceville and Valparaiso until his retirement from the FHP. Then he moved to Troy, Alabama and was associated with the mobile home industry.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, S.J. and Willie Mae Peacock, and one daughter, Judy Lynn Peacock.
Survivors include two daughters, Georgianna Peacock of Crestview, Florida; Mary-Ann Peacock of Johnston Island; two grandchildren, Zachary Revell and Morgan-Elyse Revell, both of Crestview, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, William S. (Buddy) and Jo Peacock of Tallahassee, Fla.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Paul Griffin of Pensacola, Fla.; Mary Ruth and Luther (Mac) McDonald of Lynn Haven, Fla.; Jo Ann and John Gause of Dothan; and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Aubrey Peacock.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 1999 at Whitehurst Funeral Home, 436 W. James Lee Blvd., Crestview, Fla.
