A record five Troy University soccer players were named to the All-Sun Belt team, the league announced at its annual Championship Banquet Tuesday night.

Junior midfielder Alissa Jones and senior defender Georgia Wallis were named to the first team, while junior forward Chelsey Williams, junior defender Payton Donley and freshman goalkeeper Mikki Lewis were placed on the second team.

“It is great for the players and the team to get recognized by the other coaches in the conference,” head coach Jason Hamilton said in a university press release. “We had some players put up great numbers defensively and offensively, and some of those players were recognized with all-conference accolades.”
Jones has already set single-season records for assists, points and shots. She also set a new Troy career record earlier in the season with nine game-winning goals and 148 shots. She currently the team’s leading scorer with 11 goals this year.
Lewis recorded school records of her own in 2014, with a record 14 wins, nine shutouts and 0.88 goals against average. She finished the regular season with four-straight shutouts as the Trojans clinched the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.
Former Trojan Necee Jennings was the first Troy player to be named the All-Sun Belt first team in 2013.
