TatomWindley “Earl” Tatom, age 57, passed away on September 17, 2014 at his home in Brentwood, TN after a long and brave battle with colon cancer.

Earl was a very talented craftsman and founder of Fancy Vents, Incorporated, an extremely successful and nationally known company. He was a loving, kind, generous man and wonderful husband. In leisure he was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, loved music and playing his guitars. He had the best sense of humor with the natural ability to make people laugh.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Cynthia D. Moore-Tatom of Brentwood TN; his Mother and Stepfather, Pat Tatom and Donald Drinkard of Troy, AL; his Father and Stepmother, Windley Wade and Joyce Tatom of Troy Al; his Sister Sherry Tatom of Birmingham, Al; and His Stepsisters, Dawn Abercrombie and Dana Cobb of Montgomery, TN; and his faithful and loving furry babies Hattie Mae and Harlan. He will be missed by so many dear friends.

The Tatom family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials in Windley Earl Tatom’s memory be made to the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, www.vicc.org, Visitation will be at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 3 – 5 in the afternoon with a Memorial service immediately following at 5:00 where friends and family will pay tribute by sharing how Earl touched their lives.

There will also be a visitation on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
