Reverend Ara W. Allen, age 100 of Brundidge died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church with Reverend Ashley Faulk, Reverend Rusty Earles and Reverend Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing. There will be a one hour lie in state at the Church prior to the service. Visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. Survivors include his wife of 64 years and 10 Months, Clara Allen, Daughter, Dorothy Smith of Brundidge, Grandchildren, Steve and Angie Smith, Larry and Pam Smith, Patrick and Anna Smith, Great Grandchildren, Jeff Smith, Kayla Smith, Kristin Smith, Kimmie Smith, Caleb Smith, a very special friend, Rusty Earles, Numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Wentland, Ed Napper and Tommy Senn.
