Jewel Veasey Griffin, age 86 of Orion died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at her home in Orion. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Charlie Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

 

Survivors include; Granddaughter, Dawn Alice Veasey, Dothan, Nephews, Michael C. Veasey of Montgomery, Michael Veasey of Texas, Kenneth Griffin of Texas, Donald Griffin of Grady, James Veasey of Orion, Nieces, Amanda Ward of Brundidge, Tracy Renfroe of Troy, Anita Griffin of Grady, Lily Griffin of Grady, Jane Williams, Polly Graham of Brundidge, Sisters-in-law, Julanne Veasey, Grace Griffin, Georgia Mae Griffin , God Son and God Daughter, Jack F. and Judy Davis Sr., Serving as pallbearers will be, Michael Veasey, Kenneth Griffin, Donald Griffin, Jack Davis Jr., Keith Roling, Claude Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be the Pike County Cattlewomen’s Association and the Oak Grove Methodist Church family.

 

In lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church or the Amercian Cancer Society.
