Mr. Carl E. Phillips, age 85, of Brundidge, Alabama, passed away at his home on

Thursday, February 27, 2014. Visitation for Mr. Phillips will be Friday, February 28, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home in Brundidge. A one hour lie-in-state from 10:00-11:00 A.m. Will be held at Loflin Baptist Church prior to the service on March 1, 2014. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Loflin Baptist Church with the Reverends Chad Manion, Earl Oakes and Wiley McWhorter officiating. Graveside service will be conducted by his grandson-in law, Sam Williams.

Survivors: Wife of 66 years, Anita Phillips of Brundidge. Daughter and Son-In-Law, Melody and Mark Avant of Brundidge. Son and Daughter-In-Law, Douglas and Sylvia Phillips of Banks

Grandchildren: Kristy(Sam) Williams, Kevin(Michelle) Phillips, Amber(Josh) Barbaree, Shane Lewis, Seth Lewis, Adam and Tucker Avant

2 brothers: James Huey Phillips of Panama City, FL; Harold Phillips of Lynn Haven, FL

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rudolph Phillips.

Grandsons and Grandson-in-law will serve as pallbearers.

Flowers will be accepted or donations made to the Loflin Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Douglas Phillips, 1239 County Road 6628, Banks, AL. 36005.
