Betty Zane Johnson Carter age 82 died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Elam Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Scott Sexton and Reverend WO Sanders officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 2:00 Saturday at the Church.

She is survived by her children Patti Carter Richburg of Goshen, Pamela Carter {Lewis) Hughes of Wetumpka, Bob Carter of Andalusia, her grandchildren Shannon Richburg (Robbie) Sharp, Elizabeth Carter (Kevin) Griffin, Jessica Hughes (Brandon) Moore, Pamela Joanna Hughes, Joseph Robert (Samantha Richburg, Bryant M. (Ginny) Carter, David B. Carter, Luke (Pam) Hughes, and Specialist Joshua Carter (Stephanie) Hughes, her great grandchildren Alle Zane Carter Hughes, Charlie Kate Carter, Emma Lynn Moore, Austin Sharp, Paige and Kayley Brunson, Reed and Sarah McKeemie, Kendall Sharp, Brandi Sharpe (Kenneth) Duncan, Taylor Griffin, a brother Edwin R. (Barbara) Johnson, Sisters-in-law Catherine Carter and Carolyn Carter, an aunt Bernice Beard (Robert) Floyd.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Quincey Carter, a son-in-law Preston Richburg, her parents Comer and Ella Johnson and an infant son Jerry Beard Carter.

Active pallbearers will be Bryant Carter, David Carter, Robbie Richburg, Robbie Lee Sharp, Brandon Moore, and Harvill Sellers Carter Jr.
