Coston Allen – Receivers/Defensive Backs Pike Liberal Arts

Every Wednesday, The Messenger will feature a Q-and-A with a local high school football coach to discuss the season, upcoming opponents and game planing.

TM: What has it been like in your first year?

CA: I couldn’t ask for a better group of guys to coach. They work hard every day and give it all they got. It is a little hard when you don’t have the numbers that you would like, but we have some great players. I have enjoyed it, and look forward to helping these guys get better.

TM: How do you slow down the offense of Ft. Dale?

CA: Our main goal will be to stop Chip Taylor. He is a great football player, and our linebackers and ends will have to do a good job containing him. If we can do that, we can get the upset.

TM: How do you like coaching with your dad?

CA: It is a blast. He has been in the game for a long time, and and has seen it all. We both love the game of football, and get to enjoy each other every day. I try to keep pace with him, but he is always working to get better. It has been a fun time.
