Mrs. Bernice Alva Calhoun, age 78, of Troy, Alabama passed away September 3, 2013 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Florida.  She was born May 15, 1935 in Troy, Alabama to the late Ed and Thelma Williams.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Calhoun was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Calhoun; a son, Harold Calhoun; several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Calhoun is survived by five children, Larry Calhoun of Troy, AL, Johnny Calhoun and wife Teresa of Troy, AL, Robert Calhoun of Troy, AL, Willie June Calhoun of Troy, AL, Linda Gail Crawley and husband Roger of Jack, AL; numerous grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
