Troy City Schools Board of Education members approved seven new hires at a called meeting Thursday.

The board’s only agenda item was personnel action. Members also approved one resignation and one transfer/hire.

According to Superintendent Lee Hicks, only one of the new hires is coming from local funds. The rest are supported by the state education foundation budget.
