Published 10:21am Friday, July 12, 2013

Troy Police arrested a man for breaking in Charles Henderson High School early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the school regarding an alarm about 1:30 a.m. and saw lights being turned on and off inside one of the school’s buildings.

Officers found a point of entry into the building and announced themselves. That’s when the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot.

After a short pursuit, officers arrested the 18-year-old black male they found at the school.

Detectives processed the scene at CHHS and obtained a felony warrant for third-degree burglary.

The man was taken to the Pike County Jail on a $3,500 bond.

He probably saw how money is being thrown around with reckless abandon and figured there had to be plenty of cash laying around loose. If he had been looking to steal an education he would have broken into Zion Chapel.
