More than 1,000 athletes participated in the Alabama Special Olympics State Games at Troy University this weekend. Track and field, gymnastics and swimming were three of the most popular sports this year. The state games were a qualifier for this year’s national games and more than 150 qualifying athletes will represent Alabama there.
