Pritchett, Joe Gordon, 92, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home in Bullock County. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 from Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. John Emfinger, Rev. Curtis Rich and Rev. Andy Hepburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Gray Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Pritchett was born February 12, 1921 and was the eldest child of the late Joe Green and Addie Ruth Braswell Pritchett. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Stanley Gordon Pritchett. He was a deacon at Macedonia Baptist Church and had been a member there for 50 years. He also was a cattleman and a mason.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Martha Dean Rotton Pritchett; four sisters, Emma Ruth Chance, Mary Sybil Rotton, Kate Bickley and Mae Lawson; sister-in-law, Annie Pearl McCall; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Jo and Johnny Witherington and Debbie and Don Kreis; one daughter-in-law, Vicki Gaines Pritchett; six grandchildren and their spouses: Ashley and Jeff Tate, Josh and Jessica Pritchett, John and Ivy Witherington, Kelly and Stevie Mullins, Taylor and Ryan Yates and Tucker Kreis; eight great-grandchildren: Luke Tate, Seth Tate, Jack Witherington, Laura Ashley Witherington, Joel Tate, Lilah Grace Pritchett, Lainey Brooke Pritchett and Pate Pritchett; three faithful and loving caregivers: Ruby Glenn, Mary Jane Blakely and Nellie Allen.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Josh Pritchett, John Witherington, Tucker Kreis, and grand sons-in-law; Jeff Tate, Stevie Mullins and Ryan Yates.
