Fire destroys Brundidge home

Three Pike County fire departments worked to control a Brundidge house fire late Friday night.

According to Brundidge Volunteer Fire Department Chief Glenn Adkins, firefighters first responded to the fire on Leona Place approximately 11:30 p.m. Firefighters found the house with heavy flames, and begin to work to extinguish the fire.

The home was deemed a total loss.

Along with BVFD, Banks and Hamilton Crossroads Volunteer Fire Departments, CARE Ambulance, Brundidge police, and Pike County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, and the cause is still under investigation.
