The Child Advocacy Center’s “Inaugural Rolling out the Red Carpet Benefit Gala,” was a huge success. The Gala took place on Troy University Campus on October 13, 2012. The CAC is very grateful for the response that was received from the communities which we serve, which include Pike, Coffee, Bullock, and Barbour Counties. Everyone pitched in and lent helping hands to pull off an extravagant Gala. The food was excellent accompanied by great music and exquisite décor. I am confident that everyone enjoyed themselves and patrons are already questioning about next years theme, said Camille Downing. Thanks to Sponsors, patrons, and especially all of the CAC’s hard working volunteers. The Child Advocacy Center couldn’t have done it without you. Monies are still coming in, so we don’t have a final count quite yet, however the Child Advocacy stand to clear about $3,000+ dollars from the event. Every little bit helps and it was great to actually have a good time for a great cause. All proceeds benefit child abuse victim services.

Many Blessings,

Camille Downing

Voter pledges support

for Judge Roy Moore

Last week I set at the base of the State capitol steps and listened to the speeches of former Chief Justice Roy Moore, several ministers from across Alabama and one firecracker lady circuit judge for over an hour. Their words centered on same sex marriage and abortion and bringing God’s law into dealing with social issues in Alabama.

I was so proud to be sitting among a group of those who were from different races and religious affiliations praying together. As I looked up at the beautiful Capitol building propped up against an unbelievable blue sky, I thought how blessed I was to have this freedom to experience what I did that morning.

I thought I was attending a political rally for candidate Roy Moore but something else unfolded in front of my eyes I did not know those other people of faith who spoke against these dangers to our country and state but I do know a lot about Judge Roy Moore and who he really is. I understand what he is trying to do for me in this state where I have always lived.

I saw Judge Roy Moore on those steps that morning standing up for Jesus. I will know he is the one on November 6.
