Wreck claims Troy teen’s life

A two-vehicle crash Monday in Crenshaw County claimed the life of a Troy teenager.

Noah B. Allison, 17, was killed when the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro he was driving collided with a 1998 International driven by James R. Barnett, 61, of Banks.

The truck was carrying batteries, which had to be removed at the scene. Barnett was treated at the scene and released.

According to Alabama State Troopers, the crash occurred at 4:44 p.m. on U.S. 29 at the 152 mile marker.

Troopers were continuing to investigate the accident late Monday. No further details were available.

Allison had attended Charles Henderson High School, where he was a lineman for the 2011 Trojan Football Team.
