Now, thanks to the generosity of Miss Faulk, the books have been re-printed and are once again on saie at the museum. Miss Faulk, a former librarian and teacher believes the joy of reading is essential to the healthy growth of our minds. She also enjoys a funny story
The Pike Pioneer Museum was founded on the generosity of several peopie in our county. It continues to operate and to grow because of the dedication of many volunteers and the generosity of people from throughout Alabama and the South.
Miss Faulk is a staunch supporter of the museum’s work, and has given to other of its projects in the past Perhaps her favorite attraction on the grounds is the chicken house, brought in from Camden, Ala., last year. She says the rooster, Cornelius, is the most handsome rooster she has ever seen. He has been dubbed Cornelius because another such animal, also a favorite of Miss Faulk, bears that name.
In addition to the works of the Faulk sisters, all books and other items can be purchased on line at the web site: www.pikepioneermuseum.org.
