The Troy 8U All-Stars are officially state champions. After a strong showing in the state finals, the team emerged as the 2025 Dixie Youth Boys (DYB) 8U Coach Pitch State Champions, showcasing teamwork and grit along the way.

The team concluded the state tournament with a thrilling 7–6 victory over AUM 8U Green in the championship game, securing the state title and a spot on the national stage.

Now, the focus shifts toward preparing for the World Series tournament.

“To prepare, our team is doing just a lot of reps, going over the same thing, and everything has been working so far,” said coach Josh Sexton. “Knowing where to go when the ball is hit—just a lot of hard work on the field.”

Sexton describes this group of players as determined and full of willpower.

“This group of kids wants to succeed more than anyone else, which makes coaching easy,” Sexton added.

The DYB World Series will take place July 25–29 in Dunn, North Carolina. The tournament will feature 12 teams from across the country, each representing the best from their respective states.

Troy’s 8U baseball team is made up of a dedicated group of young athletes:
Connor Walker, David Conrad, Luke Sexton, Davis Money, John Bradley Wilson, Hudson Raiti, Hunt Whetstone, Rhett Hasson, Bryson Baldwin, Emmett Weaver, and Reeves Fiveash.

They are led by coaches Druid Conrad, Tony Weaver, Bryan Baldwin, and Josh Sexton.
