The Troy Trojans’ strong transfer portal class got even stronger this past weekend with the commitment of two Power-4 softball players.

Troy earned commitments from former South Carolina outfielder Kyye Ricks and North Carolina State utility Kamryn Munson. Munson is a Lawrenceville, Ga., native that earned First-Team All-State honors at Collins Hill HIgh School in Georgia. She broke her high school’s career and single season records for home runs at Collins Hill.

Munson started her college career at North Carolina State, playing in 31 games as a true freshman this past season, primarily as a pinch runner. She stole four bases and earned seven runs on the season. She will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Ricks is a Fayetteville, Ga., native who was an All-State and All-Region outfielder at Whitewater High School in Georgia. She started her college career at South Carolina, primarily serving as a pinch runner in 2023. She stole 11 bases as a true freshman, the seventh most by a South Carolina freshman in school history. She also scored 17 runs.

This past season, Ricks again served primarily as a pinch runner, stealing eight bases on the season along with 18 runs scored. Ricks will come to Troy with two years of eligibility remaining.

Ricks and Munson are just the newest in a growing list of transfers for Troy Softball. Troy also earned a commitment from Texas Tech outfielder Kiley Huffman last week. Earlier in the offseason, Troy signed JUCO All-American infielder Sophia Jenkins, Michigan State transfer pitcher Ella Cunningham, UTSA transfer catcher Karlee Rochinski and South Alabama transfer outfielder Amity White.
