The City of Troy is preparing for its highly anticipated annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration, set to begin promptly at 8:30 p.m., according to Dan Smith, Director of Troy Parks and Recreation.

This event has become a major highlight for the city, drawing large crowds each year—from locals within Troy and visitors from surrounding communities.

“The mayor and city council put a lot of emphasis on our fireworks show each year, so it is very important to the people in the community of Troy and the surrounding areas,” Smith said.

Every year, the impressive turnout clearly reflects this dedication. The fireworks are launched in an area adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Inside Veterans Memorial Stadium alone, Smith estimates that roughly 2,000 people gather to witness the impressive display. But the excitement extends well beyond the stadium’s walls. “In every direction where there’s a view, you will find people in various parking lots all across the city watching the fireworks show,” Smith added.

As always, this year’s fireworks show promises to be a memorable way to celebrate America’s Independence Day, with several thousand fireworks set to be launched, serving as a reminder of America’s freedom.
