The Troy Rotary Club recognized Allyn Wilson as the recipient of its 2025 Rotary Interact Scholarship.

The Interact Scholarship is a one-time gift of $500, and the recipient must be a member of a local Interact Club. Wilson was a member of the Rotary Interact Club at Pike Liberal Arts School.

Allyn was the salutatorian of the Pike Liberal Arts Class of 2025. She was a dual-enrolled student with a 4.0 grade point average at both Troy University and Auburn University. Allyn was president of the Excel Club and vice president of the National Honor Society and she was also active in Pike Liberal Arts Student Government Association and was a class officer.

She was also a member of many organizations including Rotary Interact, Spanish Club and Drama Club. Allyn was also Pike County’s Farm-City Outstanding Female Youth of the Year and a Pike County Junior Ambassador. She played basketball for PLAS and was a cheerleader. Allen was involved in many service activities, some of which were being a volunteer with the Tennille Mobile Food Pantry and the Pike Liberal Arts Dear Hunt. She helped assemble playground equipment for the Pike Liberal Arts K-3 Kindergarten Program.

Allyn also participated in the Troy Health and Rehab Trunk-or-Treat and volunteered with the Troy Miracle League as a buddy. She’s a member of Banks Baptist Church. She is the daughter of Daniel and Mackenzie Wilson.

Allyn had to write an essay for the scholarship that discussed her service to her community and how that service impacted her life.

“In total, my work has not only allowed me to give back, but also helped shape me into a more grounded, passionate and proactive individual,” Allyn wrote in her essay. “I am a passionate and proactive individual. Each hour spent volunteering has been an investment in my personal growth and the well-being of others, a journey I intend to continue long into the future.”

Allyn plans to attend Auburn University in the fall and major in business marketing.

“I’m so excited and I’d like to thank the Troy Rotary Club for awarding me the Rotary Interact Scholarship,” Allyn said.
