The Troy Trojans baseball team earned another transfer portal commitment on Monday when former Kansas State pitcher Blake Dean announced his decision to transfer to Troy.
Dean is a 6-foot-1-inch, 195-pound right-handed pitcher from Acworth, Ga. He played high school baseball at North Cobb High School, earning High School All-American honors. As a senior, he earned a 1.34 ERA with 113 strikeouts over 64 innings on the mound and was named Region Pitcher of the Year.
Dean started his college career at Kansas State and was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team in 2024. As a true freshman, he led KSU in total mound appearances with 29. He posted a 4-4 record with a 4.72 ERA, while striking out 64 batters in 61 innings pitched.
In 2025, Dean made 19 appearances and held a 2-1 record on the mound with one save. He struck out 36 batters and held a 6.61 ERA in 31 1/3 innings pitched.
Dean will come to Troy with two years of eligibility remaining.
