- Troy landed four commitments for the Class of 2026 over the weekend.
The Troy Trojans had a big football weekend with four commitments to the 2026 recruiting class, including one of the top senior offensive linemen in the state.
Troy earned commitments from Montgomery athlete Kendarius Reynolds, Auburn offensive lineman Triton Pritchett, Gulf Shores receiver Nick Hampton and junior college (JUCO) defensive lineman Rakeem Davis.
Davis is a 6-foot-2-inch, 285-pound defensive lineman that is entering his sophomore season at Co-Lin Community College in Missouri. Davis played high school football at Port Gibson High School in Mississippi. As a freshman at Co-Lin this past season, Davis totalled 18 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, one sack and a blocked kick.
All three of the high school commitments come from in-state athletes. Reynolds is a 6-foot-3-inch, 185-pound defensive back and receiver with Carver High School in Montgomery. Reynolds totalled 138 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, two sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery as a sophomore. Reynolds committed to Troy over offers from Mississippi State, Southern Miss, UAB, Appalachian State, Arkansas State and more.
Hampton is a 6-foot-3-inch, 215-pound tight end from Gulf Shores. Hampton caught 35 passes for 402 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Hampton committed to Troy over offers from schools like UAB, South Alabama, Liberty and Tulane. In an interview with Touchdown Alabama, Hampton explicitly pointed to Troy’s facility upgrades as being a factor in his decision, especially the new indoor practice facility, which is expected to be completed this fall.
Pritchett is a 6-foot-6-inch, 280-pound offensive guard from Auburn. Pritchett is a three-star rated prospect by 247Sports and the No. 62 overall prospect in Alabama. On3 also ranks him as the No. 58 overall prospect in Alabama. Pritchett holds offers from more than two dozen schools and committed to Troy over offers from schools like North Carolina, Miami (Fla.), Michigan State, Arkansas State, East Carolina, Jacksonville State, Georgia State, South Alabama, UAB and more. Pritchett was graded at 86 percent overall as a junior with 26 pancake blocks.
