Troy Baseball earns two transfer commitments

The Troy Trojans baseball team is coming off a stellar season and landed two transfer commitments over the weekend.
The transfer commitments include SC-Upstate pitcher Cooper Ellingworth and Mount Saint Mary infielder Nolan Brook. Brook is a 6-foot Manheim, Pa., native that played high school baseball at Manheim Central High School, earning all-conference honors three years in a row. He started his college career at Mount Saint Mary in Maryland.
As a freshman this past season, Brook started 50 games and earned All-Rookie honors after batting .326 with 10 doubles, three home runs, 37 RBIs, 32 runs and 15 stolen bases. At shortstop, Brook held a .924 fielding percentage with 75 putouts, 108 assists and 17 double plays. He will come to Troy with three years of eligibility remaining.
Ellingworth is a 6-foot right-handed pitcher from Orlando, Fla. He played for Boone High School and started his college career at USC-Upstate in South Carolina. In 2024, he earned All-Freshman honors as he made 19 appearances on the mound and held a 3-4 record. He struck out 31 batters in 33 2/3 innings. This past season, Ellingworth made 23 appearances and went 1-3 with a 4.86 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 53 and 2/3 innings pitched. He pitched against Troy on March 7, striking out three batters. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
