The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive in Troy on July 9. 

The blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the ALDOT Troy Training Room on 299 Elba Highway on July 9. To make an appointment, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-733-2767 or download the American Red Cross Blood Donor app. 

All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients, especially those with type O blood. A blood donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals must be 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health to donate. 

All those that come to donate blood with American Red Cross between July 1-14 will receive a free pair of Red Cross x goodr sunglasses, while supplies last.
