- The American Legion Post 70 Building is located at 212 E. Walnut St. in Troy.
American Legion Post 70 in Troy wants to make the public aware its building is available to rent for birthday parties, meetings or anything else people may need a space for.
“Renting our building is one of the biggest funding assets we have,” Post 70 Commander Bob McLendon said. “There aren’t a lot of places in Troy where you can rent a private venue. We also have bathrooms and a kitchen, which is an additional asset people may be interested in.”
McLendon said the building is available to rent on a one-time basis as well as for people who may wish to rent the building on a continual basis, such as weekly, bi-weekly or monthly meetings.
McLendon said the rental rate depends on how many hours the building would be used. He said the rates are always reasonable. McLendon said the Legion requests that renters clean up the building after use.
Anyone interested in renting the American Legion Post 70 Building, 212 E Walnut St., in Troy, can call his cellphone at 334-372-4319. McLendon said if he is unable to take the call, leave a message and he will return the call as soon as possible.
