On June 17, Troy City Schools Board of Education approved a slight increase in adult and child visitor lunches.

The price increase of 10 cents per meal will be for adult visitor and child visitor lunches moving forward, while student lunches will remain unchanged. The price increase is due to rising costs, according to Troy City Schools Superintendent Cynthia Thomas.

The board also approved the surplus of a risograph, 62 student desks, chairs, tables, teacher desks and broken bulletin boards from Charles Henderson High School and Troy Elementary School.

Thomas also reported a total of $385,060.92 in sales tax revenue between March and April for the school system, a 9.9 percent increase over the same time period in 2024.

Additionally, the board unanimously approved the following personnel actions.
