The Troy 6U All-Stars will represent our city’s hometown this weekend as they host the Dixie Youth Baseball State Tournament.
Within district play, the Troy 6U All-Stars finished with a 2-2 record. The team had convincing wins over Slocomb (22-12) and Geneva (18-2), while falling in matchups against Eufaula and Greenville.
The Troy 6U All-Stars will open the state tournament on Thursday against the Dallas County 6U All-Stars.
This season has been about more than just playing ball, it has been about learning the fundamentals of the game and growing as a team.
“At 6U, you are still learning the game and a lot of situational baseball, so that is really what we have had an emphasis on; situational awareness,” said manager Trent Stough.
The roster includes players Brayden Bell, Drake Berry, Beau Miller, James Palmer, Sutton Smith, Hayes Johnson, Baylor Sasser, Malachi Daniel, Bryson Stough, Jack Weaver, Oliver Parker, and Noah Prendergast.
The team is led by manager Trent Stough and assistant coaches Eric Miller, Adam Prendergast, and Andrew Johnson.
