Parade, car show and fireworks in Brundidge

American Independence Day, also known as the Fourth of July, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July4, 1776, declaring the 13 American colonies free from British rule.
America’s Independence is celebrated annually with various activities including fireworks, parades, barbecues, and other festive Fourth of July events in cities and hamlets from sea to shining sea.
The City of Brundidge kicks off the county’s Independence Day celebrations with the Brundidge Independencefest and Car Show, arts, crafts and food vendors from 10 am until 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28,
The Car Show begins at 3 p.m. and the Independence Parade is at 6 p.m. and follows a Main Street Route. The Fireworks begins at dark, around 8:15 p.m.

The Meeksville Parade is set for Friday, July 4. and is dedicated to all America’s veterans.
Everyone is invited to decorate a ride or grab one and bring candy to throw.
Following the Independence Day Parade everyone is invited to the festivities at Harmony Park.
