Leadership Pike brings together diverse individuals for a year of learning, connection and service, empowering them to grow as leaders and make a lasting impact in Pike County.
One of the program’s greatest strengths is fostering meaningful connections among participants to encourage both personal growth and community involvement.
Accepting up to 14 participants annually, the program combines hands-on learning with community engagement to develop effective leaders and has been positively impacting Pike County since 1990.
“There have been some incredible accomplishments,” said Bethany Allen, president of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce. “For example, Hailey Finger went through Leadership Pike and is now the owner of SIPS. Another class member in real estate received a promotion, and a former member expanded their early education center, Share My World Academy.”
Leadership Pike is more than just a program; it is a launchpad, with ambitious plans to launch a Chamber Ambassador Program in the future.
“After completing Leadership Pike, some participants will have the opportunity to serve on the Leadership Pike Advisory Board, which includes six to seven members when seats become available,” said Allen. “From there, graduates may become Chamber Ambassadors and potentially serve on the Pike County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. It’s a natural leadership progression, because they will truly understand how the Chamber works.”
Leadership Pike, which also partners with the Chamber’s Junior Ambassadors Program, provides mentorship and inspiration to high school juniors.
“We hope this becomes a stepping stone for high school students to one day participate in Leadership Pike,” Allen said. “It’s all about building a continuous connection with like-minded leaders.”
Applications for the Leadership Pike 2025–2026 class open July 1 for those looking to grow personally and professionally in the advancements of Pike County’s future.
