On Thursday, the Troy Trojans Women’s Basketball team announced the signing of another player from the transfer portal in former Florida Memorial guard Kamesha Moore.

Moore is a 5-foot-8-inch, Pasadena, Calif., native that played high school basketball at Pasadena High School. She started her college career at Mt. San Antonio College in California at the junior college (JUCO) level. As a freshman, she averaged 9.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 2.5 assists per game. As a sophomore, she averaged 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.1 steals per game.

She earned First-Team All-South Coast Conference honors in both of her seasons at Mt. San Antonio. Moore transferred to NAIA Langston University in Oklahoma and averaged 10.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Moore then transferred to NAIA program Florida Memorial University this past season.

She averaged 13.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.8 steals per game. She led Florida Memorial to the SUN Conference Championship and was named SUN Player of the Year. She’ll have one year of eligibility remaining.

“We are blessed to add Kamesha to our Trojan family,” Troy Coach Chanda Rigby said. “To add a conference MVP to our roster this late in the recruiting season is something to shout about. She is experienced, poised and hungry to win a ring with Troy on it.”

Moore joins a loaded transfer portal signing class for Troy that includes Georgia Southwestern State transfer Detavia Salter, former FAU guard Aniya Hubbard, Mississippi State transfer Shakirah Edwards and South Alabama transfer guard Rachel Leggett. Troy also signed incoming freshman Saniya Jackson and international signings in South Sudan, Africa center Marianah Mapour and Serbian guard Lana Koricanac.
