This week, the Troy Trojans earned two more commitments from the transfer portal in UTSA catcher Kalee Rochinski and McNeese State pitcher Emma Banks.

Rochinski was one of the top players behind the plate this season, ranking sixth in the entire country in runners caught stealing. She’s a Montgomery, Texas, native that earned Academic All-District four times in high school along with being a High School All-American, 5A Defensive Player of the Year and SBLive Defensive Player of the Year. Both her mother and father were also college athletes.

Rochinski started her college career at UTSA, playing in 27 games as a freshman in 2024. She earned 50 putouts and 11 assists with three runners caught stealing. This season, she played in 55 games and tallied 196 putouts, 34 assists and 20 runners caught stealing. She also held a .268 batting average with a .444 on-base percentage, five doubles, two home runs, 17 RBIs and 19 runs. She will come to Troy with two years of eligibility remaining.

Banks is a Stuttgart, Ark., native that earned All-State twice in high school and struck out a total of 251 batters. She started her college career at McNeese State, making nine appearances in the circle as a redshirt freshman this season. She held a 2-0 record as a starter, struck out six batters and held a 3.28 ERA with a 2.16 WHIP. She is also on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll as a student. She will come to Troy with three years of eligibility remaining.

Troy Softball has been stockpiling its roster from the transfer portal this offseason. The Trojans have already signed junior college (JUCO) All-American Sofia Jenkins along with earning commitments from former South Alabama outfielder Amity White and former Michigan State pitcher Ella Grace Cunningham. White is a Pike County native having played high school softball at Pike Liberal Arts School and Pike County High School.
