Loretta Myhand scheduled for parole hearing

Loretta Cooper Myhand of Troy is scheduled for a parole hearing on June 10.
Myhand, 47, is currently serving 12 months for five felonies connected to forgery and theft in Pike and Lee Counties. Myhand was convicted in March of 2024 of one count of third-degree theft of property, one count of first degree theft of property, two counts of third-degree possession of a forged instrument and one count of third-degree forgery. She was sentenced to 12 months for each charge, to be served concurrently.
Myhand has already served one year and nine months but is also serving time after parole was revoked on previous 2016 charges. She was convicted of 10 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of first-degree theft of property in Coffee County and sentenced to 12 years for those charges in January of 2016. She served a total of four years and seven months on those charges before being released on parole.
In 2011 and 2012, Myhand was also convicted of one count of first-degree theft by deception, two counts of second-degree theft by deception, six counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of second-degree theft of property in Houston County.
She was also convicted of seven counts of second-degree forgery and one count of second-degree theft of property in Pike County in 2008.
If Myhand is granted parole she will be eligible to be released in November of 2026.
