The Brundidge Rotary Club hosted the annual Douglas Botts Memorial Golf Tournament at the Brundidge Country Club on Friday.

Botts was a longtime Rotarian and served as club treasurer for many years. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and was involved in all Rotarian projects and activities and in community events throughout the years.

Cot Wallace, Brundidge Rotary Club president, congratulated the winners and expressed appreciation to all those who participated in the Douglas Botts Memorial Golf Tournament, which supports the club’s long-standing, scholarship program for graduating seniors at area schools.

The Brundidge Rotary Club’s 2025 annual Douglas Botts Memorial Tournament had 24 teams participate, which was the largest number on record.

The winning teams were First Place:  H.E. Brower Veneer Co., Phillip East and Johnny Godbold; second place: Chuck Dickert and David Nelson; and third place: Wal-Mart DC.

“We had a great tournament and are already looking forward to next year for another great day of golf and remembrance,” Wallace said. “We congratulate the winners and thank all those who participated and all the volunteers.”
