Pike County Chamber of Commerce President Bethany Allen is pleased to announce that Carson King, a 2024-25 Chamber Junior Ambassador, has been selected for the 2025 Economic & Community Development Scholars Program. The program will be held at Huntingdon College in Montgomery. Carson is a senior at Goshen High School, where he is part of the First in Flight Academy.

Established by Dr. Anthony Leigh in 2017, this program for rising high school seniors is designed to introduce outstanding future leaders of Alabama communities to the importance of economic and community development. The program combines interactive and on-site learning, hands-on think-tanks and problem-solving, and networking with exclusive information from respected experts.

“We are so excited to have Carson selected for this opportunity,” Allen said. “Carson has consistently demonstrated an interest in becoming better informed about his community and the possibilities it holds. He is perfectly suited to this program.”

The Pike County Chamber of Commerce is a member-based organization composed of retailers, businesses, organizations, industries, professionals and individuals who together accomplish collectively what they cannot do individually.
