“The Creation Story and other Creek Folklore”  is now available for purchase on Amazon.com.

“The stories in this book emphasize Creek culture and guide people towards wholeness, happiness, and right relationships with all the beings that share our world,” Southeastern Mvskoke Nation Chief Michelle Gilmore said. “ The book includes 16 of the most popular Mvskoke stories Creek children love to hear told around the fire. These and other stories teach our children how to be Mvskoke people. We hope you enjoy these stories that show how to live in the Mvskoke way.”

Robert Pullen and Christopher Thompson authored the book and illustrations were created  by Gretchen Arnold. Gilmore is the editor for “The Creation Story and other Creek Folklore”

The book is 66 pages with a price of $15.

“The book is a labor of love from our tribe,” Gilmore said. “It showcases cherished Creek stories that will delight children and adults alike. All proceeds from the book will help support the Southeastern Mvskoke Nation.
