For the first time in more than three decades a Troy Trojan golfer has earned All-American honors as Brantley Scott was named Golfweek All-American on Wednesday.
The Dothan native, is the first Troy golfer since 1993 to be named All-American. Scott earned All-American honorable mention. Scott was a key piece to Troy’s historic run to the NCAA Championships this season, shooting under-par in six of eight tournaments this season.
The Trojans rose all the way to No. 46 in the country during the season before capturing a fourth place finish at the NCAA Urbana Regional, to secure a trip to the NCAA Championships for the first time in Troy Division I history.
“Brantley Scott becoming an All-American is an honor he will carry with him the rest of his life,” head coach Clay Bounds said. “What a great day for Troy Men’s Golf to be able to add to our All-American list. The program’s last All Americans were back in the early 90s, so for Brantley to revitalize that distinction is something we are all very proud of. He definitely earned it by the way he played and carried himself on and off the golf course.”
Scott earned a Troy-record -0.54 score vs. par with a 70.96 stroke average in 2025. He played 13 of his 24 rounds under par and tied for 36th at the NCAA Championship. Scott also earned All-Sun Belt honors this season and is the first Trojan to earn All-American since Matt Robbins and Kevin Blanton were named All-Americans in 1993.
