Troy University Golf’s historic 2025 season came to an end this weekend at the NCAA Championship in California, with the Trojans finishing 29th overall.

Troy finished the opening round in a tie for 12th place before falling to 24th in the second round and ultimately finishing 29th in the country. Troy’s Brantley Scott was also named to the PING All-Southeast Region team during the NCAA Championship and finished in the Top 15 of individual shooters during the tournament.

“Playing in the NCAA Championship means everything to the program,” Troy Coach Clay Bounds said. “The guys earned it. It’s not the outcome that we wanted, but I’m proud of the way we fought. It’s a very difficult golf course, and we’ll continue to work hard and try and get back here next year.

“I’m always proud of the guys, no matter how they play. To get this far is truly a great accomplishment for the guys. We’ve worked hard all year, and I couldn’t be more proud of this team.”

Troy’s appearance in the NCAA Championship was the first in school history as as part of Division I.
