Troy Football lands weekend commitments

The Troy Trojans football team earned a commitment from an incoming junior college (JUCO) transfer and a high school player for the Class of 2026 this past weekend. 

Incoming high school senior Dontaye Bush of Williamson High School in Mobile committed to Troy. The All-State defensive end is 6-foot-5-inches and 215-pounds and recorded 72 tackles, 13 sacks, 12 quarterback hurries, two fumbles recoveries and a touchdown as a junior. He earned All-State honors, as well. He committed to Troy over offers from schools like Southern Miss, Louisiana, Jacksonville State, Marshall, Alabama State, UAB, Mississippi State and Arkansas State. Bush is rated as a 3-star recruit by 247Sports. 

Troy also landed a commitment from JUCO All-American transfer edge Jordan Farrell from Central Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-4-inch, 225-pounder played high school football at Discovery High School in Lawrenceville, Ga, earning All-Region honors as a senior. As a freshman at Central Georgia Tech this past season, Farrell tallied 52 tackles, 15 tackles-for-loss, nine sacks, two pass breakups, one safety and a blocked field goal. His sack total was tied for sixth in the country.
