On Monday, the Sun Belt Conference announced the All-Sun Belt Baseball team with three Troy Trojans landing on the team.

Senior first baseman Blake Cavill earned First-Team honors, while junior catcher Brooks Bryan and senior pitcher Garrett Gainous both earned Second-Team honors.

“What a great honor for Blake, Brooks and Garrett to be All-Sun Belt players,” troy Coach Skylar Meade said. “Blake coming here and being the productive offensive figure he has been is exactly what we felt he was capable of. Brooks has handled all the expectations thrust to him since 2024 and been the level of player we knew he could be. Lastly for Garrett, what a great accomplishment to be able to persevere through so much to get the recognition.”

Cavill, who transferred to Troy from Western Kentucky this season, leads the country in walks with 64 this season and his .523 on-base percentage ranks 12th in the nation. The Australia native holds a .326 batting average with a .586 slugging percentage, 12 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, 49 RBIs and 55 run. Cavill was also one of Troy’s most dependable defenders, holding a .991 fielding percentage with a team-high 417 putouts, 27 assists and 34 double plays.

Bryan, an Opelika native, earns his second straight All-Sun Belt nod after finishing the regular season with a .284 batting average, 18 doubles, two triples, 12 homers, 59 RBIs and 41 runs. His doubles rank second in the SBC and his RBIs are ranked third. Bryan also earned a .995 fielding percentage with 403 putouts, 27 assists, two double plays and nine runners caught stealing.
