TPD announces arrests in connection to Williams Street shooting

On May 13, Troy Police Chief Danny Barron announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with a shooting that occurred on Williams Street on May 7. 

According to Barron, just hours after TPD received calls about a shooting at North Knox Street in Troy on May 7, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of Williams Street. Officers discovered that an unoccupied residence had been struck by gunfire but no injuries were reported.

According to Barron, an investigation into the shooting led to the arrest of three Troy residents. Davrell M. Carlton, Jav’Vonte L. Maddox and Ja’Marquez D. Quinn were all arrested and charged with Discharging a Fireman into an Unoccupied Dwelling. Carlton, 38, was arrested on May 19, while Maddox, 27, was arrested on May 12 and Quinn, 21, was arrested on May 13. 

The three suspects were processed at Troy City Jail and transported to Pike County Jail. TPD is continuing to investigate the shooting.
